The Dying World was Lauren Tsai’s first solo immersive exhibition, presented at the Cathedral Mausoleum Courtyard at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles in November 2025.

Conceived as a site-specific installation, the exhibition centered around an ephemeral house constructed on the grounds of the cemetery and brought together drawing, painting, sculpture, puppetry, and stop-motion animation. The project introduced Astrid, a recurring character within Tsai’s broader narrative universe, and expanded her visual practice into a fully realized spatial environment.
