"Cool About It" Music Video , boygenius.

Dark animated scene of a frightened woman and a masked figure lying amid thick, coiled organic forms.

Directed by Lauren Tsai, the music video for boygenius’ “Cool About It” unfolds as a poignant meditation on connection, memory, and impermanence. Rendered through Tsai’s distinctive visual language, the animated film traces the intimate relationship between a dog and its cherished toy as an allegory to explore themes of attachment and loss. The piece reflects Tsai’s ability to merge illustration with cinematic storytelling into immersive, emotionally nuanced worlds.
